Hubert Hurkacz: Thanks, it's great to be here. Staying motivated comes naturally when you love what you do. I’ve always been passionate about tennis, and the drive to improve keeps me going. Every match is an opportunity to learn something new and to test myself against the best. Plus, the support from my family and team is invaluable. They keep me grounded and focused on my goals.
waterdrop®: You’re known for your calm demeanor on the court. How do you maintain your composure during high-pressure matches?
Hubert Hurkacz: Staying calm is crucial in tennis. I try to focus on my breathing and stay in the moment. It's easy to get caught up in the emotions of the match, but keeping a clear mind helps me make better decisions. Off the court, I enjoy relaxing activities like listening to music or spending time with friends and family, which helps me stay balanced.
waterdrop®: Speaking of relaxation, what do you do in your downtime? Any hobbies or interests outside of tennis?
Hubert Hurkacz: I’m a bit of a tech enthusiast. I love exploring new gadgets and keeping up with the latest technology trends. From my childhood, I have been passionate about cars. I used to ask my mom for toy cars all the time, and that passion has grown with me. Now, I love checking out different cars on the street and finding out all the data about them. It’s a great way to unwind and indulge in something I'm genuinely interested in.

You never know what to expect, and that keeps me motivated to keep pushing myself.

Hubert Hurkacz: I’m always looking to improve and climb higher in the rankings. Winning a Grand Slam is definitely a dream of mine, and I’m working hard towards that goal. In the meantime, I want to continue performing well in tournaments and representing my country with pride. It's all about taking it one step at a time and enjoying the journey.

Hubert Hurkacz: My advice would be to stay passionate and enjoy the game. Tennis can be demanding, but if you love what you do, it makes the hard work worthwhile.
